LOVE 5.7L V8 HEMI
By MK78 | on 4/17/2026 2:14:00 AM
It's naturally aspirated and probably the best bang for your buck! I read many reviews and disagree with some of them. When you get behind the wheel of this particular vehicle, you have to appreciate the feel of a V8 Hemi engine. Some reviewers mention the efficiency (or lack of). Would you expect anything less from a car that delivers this much horsepower in an unassuming way? I also own a Ram 1500 that has all the bells & whistles (also with a 5.7L V8 Hemi), and it's already 10 years old, but just as beefy as the day it was being driven off the lot. I bought this knowing full well the gas mileage I would get, but don't care. I looked and researched electric cars for years, and still not convinced to go that route. My love for these types of cars stems from growing up at my parents' gas station. Forty years of exposure to American muscle cars has been extremely influential in regard to my choices when buying a new car. It's not broken and doesn't need fixing. Maintenance is the key to longevity.… - 4.0
Great ride reliability better then expected
By SteveO | on 12/22/2025 3:00:18 PM
I have had this vehicle for 10 years and overall have been very happy with it. We had towed with it for a number of years and it handled a 4700lb trailer fine. The hemi is great. Milage not so good but what do you expect from a V8. Reliability has been good until recently. Had to replace the starter, Fuel pump and some valve springs. For 170k miles overall not that bad. The fuel pump can only be accessed by dropping the gas tank. Put in an access door.… - 4.0
2019 Durango
By Jim | on 11/1/2025 12:16:59 PM
Had to get another vehicle after previous one was totaled by insurance. Searched exclusively on auto trader as they are the only website I have been able to find that has multiple search parameters. This Durango showed up with 5400 miles on the odometer. Virtually a drive train that is just broken in. It does have acoustic glass and very quiet. It has one of Stellantis most reliable engines with the 3.6, 3rd row seats, good sound system. Since it is a base model it doesn't have a lot of frills. No heated steering wheel, seats, blind spot, power rear lift hatch but it also does not make the bells, dings and whistle noises the other vehicle did. The previous vehicle (Acadia Denali) had so many options we turned half of them off. I could not drive into the garage without several sensors going off. Turned off auto steering, beeper for blind spot etc. Nice to have a vehicle that I don't have to turn things off just so I can drive it like a normal car.…
